Dear Tim, Marybeth and Jim, With your mom's birthday just a few days away, it's hard not to start missing her all over again. Not that you haven't missed her--I imagine each day is still a struggle--but the passage of time does help to heal. And then one of her special days comes along, and we are back where we were on the beginning day.

We were classmates for four years at SSA and would visit frequently at our mini reunions. Joan was always kind, wam and interested in others. My condolences to her family who will miss her so much!

Joan was a wonderful, warm, loving, and thoughtful person. She was very kind to me when I lost my husband al in 2001, and even though she was bereaved herself, she extended her loving support to me, and remembered me every year on the anniversary of his death until the last year or two. I know her love for Joe was as deep as the ocean, and I believe she is now reunited with him in God's glory. I am very sorry for your family's loss. I will always remember your visits to Arizona with our family when we were kids. Your mother and family will always be special to the Hanna's.
