Not sure what to say?

I have all the precious little cards and notes you´ve sent me over the years. Some are even in little frames. You mattered so much to me and still do. Love Betty

Joan was always a warm person and always carried a smile. I was a childhood friend of Jon Kirsten and Will , Wonderful memories of jumping into hay bales in the barn Or birthday parties. Jumping from the fence into snow drifts. Doug her husband had a exciting career sending rockets into space searching for biologicals including bugs. Lots of love to the family and thanks for the memories ❤

I grew up with the Hallgren family from age 3 until we moved to Alabama at age 6 and the returned at age 10. The friendship never ended. It was a wonderful neighborhood. Mrs. Hallgren always made you a part of her family. I will truly miss her words of wisdom.

The epitome of grace and sofistocation was she! I shall ever cherish our last meeting on the picturesque back porch of the family home on Carlton Road, just days prior to her leaving to ready the home for sale. There, enjoying the beauty of her country gardens, we shared a bourbon Manhattan (or two) together. Sweet! Sweet! Memory! Rest In Peace my friend. You will ever be an indelible part of my life!

I grew up next door, (the Colyers red house) and Kirsten and I became best childhood friends. Joan was like a mother and mentor and I knew she loved me. She will always be one of the dearest people to my heart. I spent countless hours at the wonderful house on the hill and have countless memories...baking cookies, learning to embroider and sew, l, swimming at Little Troy, being removed quietly from church by our ears with Kirsten for giggling....a lot of that. I would not be the person I am...
