I worked with Joan as the manager of the JUICE UVS project while I was at Southwest Research Institute, until my retirement in 2015. I enjoyed working with her, and respected her expertise, involvement, and compassion. I was saddened by her passing, and am sorry for your loss. Please know that she affected many lives outside of her family, and we will all miss her. -John
