Not sure what to say?

it has been many years now, but Joan was a wonderful instructor while I was in the PCC medical record associate program. I then had the pleasure of working with her in the OrHIMA professional organization. I considered her a mentor and a wonderful example

Dear Momo Hayward,
You must really miss Joan and I am pleased to see you have a new home with Donna. If you would ask Donna to contact me at AHIMA I will really appreciate it. [email protected]

Joan was such a lovely and gracious woman. She had a great spirit and continual love of learning. A great knitter, she loved to share her knowledge and experiences. We miss her.

Dear Joan,
I will forever remember your smile and your warm glow. Thank you for being a beautiful part part of The Knitting Guild of the Desert.

I'm not sure what I can say that adequately expresses my sadness and emptiness. First of all, my deepest gratitude to Donna for being such a remarkable friend to Joan. Everyone deserves someone so dedicated and devoted to call their friend. I miss Joan in so many ways - she was a trusted mentor and rigorous leader for the first 10 years of my academic career. When she retired 10 years ago our relationship shifted to confidant, treasured and trusted friend. I loved her no nonsense...

I consider myself blessed to have worked with Joan for a few short years. She was an amazing lady, a terrific manager, and made one heck of a chocolate chip cookie. No matter how many offices I “fill” with balloons in my lifetime, Joan's will always be my first and my favorite. Although I hadn't spoken with Joan in about two years, I've thought of her often. I will cherish her leadership and friendship always. Thank you and bless you Joan, for all of the lives that you've enriched just...

Dear Joan,
Happy trails to you. I am thankful for the time I knew and worked with you at Cascade Campus. Your bright light and true spirit live on in all your many brilliant accomplishments and in our memories.

Dear Donna and Momo,
Thank you, sweet spirits, for taking care of our dear friend, Joan.

Forever, Joan

The Health Information Management family lost an important member with Joan's passing. Her involvement in the OrHIMA spanned many years. And as a leader in the education of HIM professionals she touched the lives of countless students and fellow HIM practioners. Her legacy will long endure through the efforts and professionalism of those who were taught by her, guided by her, and inspired by her. Thank you, Joan (and Momo)
