Not sure what to say?

Joan was a loving, caring, intelligent, woman. I was her husband's patient; she knew how much I cared for him and invited me along with my husband to attend the celebration of Bernie's life. Because I was his patient, I knew that Joan was the love of his life and that he adored her as well as their children. Thank you, Joan, for acknowledging my deep appreciation of your dear husband's impact on my life. I was honored to be counted among your friends. To Doug, Jim, and your wives and...

Psalm 90:10 says that the days of our years are 70 years, And if because of special mightiness they are 80 years.
May the memories of the wonderful times you shared together bring a smile and joy in your heart.

Joan and Bernie were always interesting to hear. I first met them at a meeting of Division 39 of the APA. They shared a passion for all the arts and spoke with knowledge and deep commitment about various artists and museums.

When I became a candidate at PCC, where Joan was a Training and Supervising Analyst, she was supportive and tried to help me find a control case.

I always felt her genuine love for psychoanalysis and the work she did for so many years.

I will miss...

Both Joan & Bernie were wonderful friends to our families
and I miss them
May they rest in peace
warmly

Dr. Hellinger always had a warm presence. She was very open and engaging, along with a very active, passionate mind. She was also very personable. She will be missed. May her memory be a blessing.
