Not sure what to say?

So saddened to hear of Joan's passing.
She befriended me back in '81 as I was student teaching across the hall from her. Always so kind and generous. We never taught again at the same school, but kept in touch now and then, always exchanging Christmas cards. My thoughts and prayers to her husband and boys. So very sorry for your loss.

Our hearts go out to your family, and our hope is that you will find comfort and moments of joy in your memories of Joan. The loss of any one person in the brain cancer community is one too many. In Joan's name, in tribute of others whose battle has ended and in honor of those still fighting, we will continue to run and walk to support brain cancer research and to defeat brain cancer step by step. Keeping you in our thoughts and prayers.

I am so saddened to hear about the passing of dear Joan. As an old neighbor of the Wendzinski's, Joan and I shared a lot of fun times with our kids. I remember skiing trips, baseball and hockey games. Joan was such a devoted Mom and such a caring wife. She also was devoted to the kids she taught. I remember one year she picked up a couple of students to drive them to school with her so they didn't have to walk. I'm sure she did a lot more that I wasn't aware of. The last time I saw her she...

When I was a pre-teenager in elementary school at Burt Elementary in Redford and she lived directly across the street she would come over and baby sit us for a couple of hours.

We would watch the old black and white TV shows of The Munsters and Addams Family --

remember her well - played in the street with her younger brothers.

May the love of friends and family carry you through your grief. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.
