Joanie's loss saddens me deeply. She was an exceptional woman. We were very close when we lived on Frazier St. in W.Philly in the late 40's - early 50's. We spent a lot of time together going to the movies at the Apollo, Adelphia & Hamilton, and playing in the streets, expecially getting under the fireplug during the hot summers.
