I was so sad to hear this tragic news. Eileen and I had just visited with her the Monday before. She greeted us with her happy smile, lively conversation, lunch, and interesting stories of her Slovenian ancestry research. Being around her was always fun. She will truly be missed.

I will always remember Joanie's cute giggle. I think of us on Christmas Day delivering Stockings to the residents at the Nursing Home. That was a special day. She had such a kind heart.
