I remember Joan as a remarkable woman who always had the time to lend an ear when needed and a generous heart for those in need. I remember her calling me when the Flint Water Crisis happened to find an organization to contribute to in Flint. Gerry was my boss at Goodwill and a great guy to work for. I will forever carry Joan in my heart. She was my wonderful mother in law and will be so very missed. I have many fond memories of her to hold, my favorite is when she came to visit us when our son, Travis, was born. I will never forget waking in the middle of the night finding her on the living room couch cuddling newborn Travis, looking down at him so lovingly, murmuring sweet words to her first born grandchild.
