Not sure what to say?

My condolences to Joan's family on her recent death. Joan was my classmate at both MSJA and SJC. I will always remember her wonderful joy of life and her beautiful voice. Through her death she joins our classmates Betsy Critchley and Rosemary Burke - three bright lights of our St. Joseph College class whose joyful spirits have had a profound effect on all of our classmates.

The quote under Joan's picture in our Mount yearbook reads:"A song is more lasting than the riches of the world." To have Joan as a dear friend in high school, college, and beyond, and to hear her beautiful voice, are among the most precious memories I have. Joe and I send our sincere condolences and prayers to all the King family. Her song lives on forever.

From junior year of high school at the Mount to the present we were good friends. We shared so many good times, our cross country trip in 1968, SJC,Catholic Grads, and so many wonderful visits over the years.I feel blessed to have known and loved Joan all these years. Some day we'll all join Joan's choir in heaven and hopefully I'll have a better voice! God bless! Claire

I worked with Joan often during the late 60's and early 70's in the Cursillo movement. Being around her was always such a joy. I could always be assured of several laughs!
I still have a copy of a song she brought during that time: The Sparrow. The text is taken from Mt.6:26 about how God cares for all things, even the sparrows. The last line of the song is "God loves the very thought of you." I have no doubt that Joan is now experiencing the fullness of that reality. Thank you,...

We remember Joan directing "The Boyfriend" while we were in the Cath. Grads Club in 1968. Her patience and her skill drew out our best for the play. We were so different at the end after she taught us the way. (We were all GREAT!) We still remember and are grateful. Thanks, Joan! Enjoy yourself in Heaven! Love, Pat & Mike p.s. Save us a seat.

Our condolences to the family of Joan King.

im very sorry to hear about joan..she seemed like a great lady...

Thankful to the Lord for Joan's life-giving life! Since we met on the 1st day of college~ a friend to many, she kept the beat of music and life. Have been thinking about her a lot lately, before her death. A loss of a great smile and positive attitude for us all.
