Prayers and sincere condolences to the family. Joan was a faithful member of the Bethesda Mission Auxiliary for a number of years. Many benefited from her work and care to help others. She was a wonderful person to know, and I certainly enjoyed the many stories she shared about her trips to so many wonderful places.

Joan and I attended the same church for a while. That was where she recruited me to become a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution. My thanks to her for that. She was a wonderful person and delight to know.
