Joan H. Swartz Land

She was a good friend to my parents and to me. I miss her everyday!

I will always remember Joanie as Mary's fun older sister who came to visit Mary and me when we were in grad school together at the University of Virginia. Several of us toured the UVA grounds and decided to do a human pyramid on campus. Joanie volunteered to be on the bottom level which meant helping to hold the weight of the rest of us. Lots of fun and laughs that day. What a sport she was!

Joan was a sweet lady and a TRUE friend to my Mom.My Mom Fran Gregoire passed away in 2015 and had a long health battle that was helped greatly by having a friend like Joan who was there to help and lend support so many ways.

Sorry for the loss of your loved one and my good friend, May God Bless and comfort you all now and in the days to come.

My deepest sympathy to Joan's family and friends. Joan was a friend and colleague at Umass Health Services and I am saddened to hear of her passing. Rest in Peace Joan.

I am so saddened to hear of Joan’s passing. I’m glad we bumped into each other before the pandemic and were able to catch up. I’m sure she will be giving lessons on walking in heels and painting nails in heaven. God bless and Rest In Peace Joan.
