This is such a beautiful tribute to your mother. I remember her and her family from when they lived by Concord Grade School in the Milwaukie area. I was a classmate of Kassie and Kevin.
There must have been--and obviously, was-- something special about your mom that made an impression upon me and that I have remembered her for all these years.
Sorry to hear of your loss of someone so kind and loving. Her kindness has been paid forward.

Dear family -

It saddened me to hear of Joan's passing. She was my mother's (Dorothy Butler) cousin, and was part of our lives for many years. Joan was so full of life and joy, and I'm so happy to have known her.

Please let me know if/when a memorial gathering is scheduled.
