My thoughts and prayers to the Lewis family. Madame Lewis was an inspiration to many. She was an amazing teacher and person. She pushed her students to do their best but did so in a way that you wanted to do your best . My son is taking French right now, and I can actually help him with it. I still remember things she taught me 25 years later. That is the sign of an amazing teacher. We were all blessed to know her! Au revoir Madame Lewis

What courage it must have taken to guide a novice group from a small town in Iowa on a 10 day trip to Canada, giving us special memories that we still talk about today. My thoughts and prayers go out to the Lewis Family. Madame Lewis was an amazing and spirited teacher who gave so much of herself to her students and the Melcher Dallas Community. She inspired so many students and proved to us that we could do anything with hard work.
