Not sure what to say?

“Aunt Joan” literally saved my life as a teenager going through rough times..living with her and “uncle Dick” was the happiest time of my upbringing..thank you, Aunt Joan and Uncle Dick for your unconditional love and support.

I stop by 4 years ago to visit with Joan. I never thought it would be the last time. I always believed she would be there. I will miss her smile, excitement and hugs. Many memories at the Jaffrey Cottage. Condolences to Spence and Family.

I stop by 4 years ago to see Joan. I did not want to believe that would be the last time I would visit with her. I figure she would always be there. She will always be in my heart and memories I will miss her smile, excitement and hugs. My condolences to Spence and his family.

Mrs. Lockhart was a very nice lady who was a pleasure to know. From helping out on elementary school trips, giving me rides to and from school when I had a broken knee cap and later in life having the pleasure of fixing up her little old red house on the corner of Main st. Nothing but fond memories! Tim Roy Kittery Point

Aunt Joan you really wasn't my Aunt by being a relative but you will be always be my Aunt Joan who was a wonderful person and supportive figure while growing up in New Castle. My sincere condolences to Spence and his family. Thank you for always being a mentor while growing up. Love you, Peggy Patten Blair ❤

Always a joy to meet.

Our hearts are heavy with grief upon losing Joan, but filled with joy having had her as a friend. Joan was the gem of New Castle..

What a sweet and sunny personality Joan had! I will always picture her with that darling hat on covered in flowers on the 4th of July with her Grand Marshall ribbon tied across her petite little frame. I'll miss her presence here. Good journey Joan! Be free!
