I will never forget Joans deep faith in God and her love and compassion to others. These qualities were exhibited to those that attended her FOCUS support group. She had an inner strength and peace in spite of her circumstances. I remember her fascination for ladybugs and expressed it in the ladybug book markers that she made for FOCUS Ministries. Each bookmark included the saying, God cares for the little things.

My husband, Phil, and I knew Joan when we also lived in the Wheaton area, but we haven't seen her for a number of years. We will never forget her kindness and her beautiful, winsome smile! We offer our deepest sympathy to her children and her entire family.

Joan and I were best buddies from 7th grade through our senior year. Id visit her at Moody and once the bell choir was in Champaign and we got to have a fun reunion at U of I. Though we lost touch, it was great to enjoy dinner with her at our 50th reunion and I had hoped to see her again this June. She, and her wonderful smile, will be greatly missed. My deepest sympathy to the entire family.

Joan was a big part of the deaconess ministry at the Compass Church. She sent out hundreds of cards of encouragement to many people.
Thats who Joan was, a encourager and a prayer warrior!
She will deeply be missed.
We are thankful that her pain is finally gone and she is with our Lord and Savior.

A true friend who always put others first and encouraged me as we loved and followed The Lord Jesus. A big hole in my heart, but Jesus might come Today!! Will keep listening for the Shout, the Trumpet call, and the Voice. You got there first, so happy for you, free at last! ❤
