I'm happy to see the photo of my friend Joan today. I think of her often and miss our visits and conversations in person and on the phone. She was such a kind and loving woman and was my personal and church friend. Some of my most meaningful times with Joan were after her car accident: a visit to the hospital where I also visited with Todd Burnside. Joan was a special loving and very longtime friend. Before I moved from Sanford Lake to Hastings 5 yrs. ago, she asked if she could come out and do a painting of my house. She had not painted since her accident, nor since Scott had died. I was so honored that she shared that time with me and trusted me to love and encourage her.
