Joan and her husband Bill were our close friends. In our younger days, my husband, Don, and I would often go to dinner and dancing with them at Tom´s Grill in Jackson, and we traveled together to the U.P., Torch Lake, and all around northern Michigan. Joan knew all the best little shops to stop at along the way.
