Joan and I were in touch by email every day for years. She was always mentioning Yvette and Yvonne and their children as well as the activities they were involved with. The pictures she would frequently send were always of them and their accomplishments. Starting my day now without an email from her hasn't been the same. My prayers will be with you, her family as you begin to restructure your lives without her in the days ahead. I count it a privledge to have known her and am thankful for...

My thoughts are with you all. Joan was a strong woman and she will be missed by those who knew her. Amaryllis, my heart and my love go out to you. Donna, I am very sorry for the loss of your sister. Family...I just heard of Joan's passing. So many fond childhood memories at Leroy Martin and times in the McGhee house. She had such a wonderful smile for everyone. My prayers are with you as I know she is now in God's loving arms.
