Not sure what to say?

I just saw this obituary this afternoon. I am so heartbroken! She was a wonderful, caring, woman -- always committed to justice and to those without! May God bless and keep her. I will miss her! My condolences to the family.

Thank you so much Frances, Laury, Don and Diana. I miss going to those GLS conferences with my mom. Thank you for all the kind words. Isaac

Isaac and family,
I learned today about the death of Joan. She and I first met on the phone in the 1980s when she worked for Marcus Vanderlaan. I want to express my deepest sympathy at this sad time. One of the enjoyable things at the CTA GLS conferences was to visit with Joan and you. The beautiful person she was will live in our memories of her.

I am sorry to learn of Joan's passing, and my deepest condolences to her family. Joan and I were always opposing counsel with issues related to the San Juan Teachers Association, but I came to regard her with great respect and admiration. She had a huge heart, and I often referred people to her for divorce proceedings who wanted an attorney who would work toward amicable resolutions.

My Deepest sympathy goes out to the family and friends of Joan. May the comfort of our heavenly father who is our Rock & Stronghold give you peace and in this time of grief. He is our shield and the God of refuge. Psalms 18:2. Sincerely, JR

Joan was a beautiful kind soul, and she raised you, Isaac, with her values. She lives in you. We loved your mother and we also love you.
