Not sure what to say?

We were greatly saddened this morning to learn of Joans passing - Condolences to the family that allowed me to be part of it even years after we first met - Mom will be missed - our hearts go out to Lou and all of my brothers and sisters.

Deepest condolences from another alto with the Oratorio Society of NY who shared some time and funny moments with Joan in France, China and most recently in a Costa Rican orchid garden. She had a wonderful sense of humor and we shall miss her.

I have stood next to Joan in the Oratorio Society for the last five years, and also had the pleasure of visiting her in Connecticut and travelling to many places with her on the choir tours. She had such a welcoming spriit, and a zest for life! I know that she'll continue to stand next to me as we fill Carnegie Hall with the joy of singing.

I'm a Alto with The Oratorio Society of NY and will miss Joan very much. Thursday night rehearsals will not be the same.

I met Mrs. Matz several times as she was a client of the attorney I work for. I spoke with her on the phone several times over the years and she was always very engaging and treated everyone with respect and generosity of spirit. I'm sure that her family and many friends will miss her greatly. My condolences to you all for the loss of this bright light in your lives.

To Joan's Family, I had the pleasure of knowing Joan for a very brief period while I was in Canturbury England where we were both singing. She was a fabulous lady. Full of fun and joy which she shared with all around her. Although the time I had with her was short, it remains a wonderful memory in my life.

I met Joan when we toured China together with the NY Oratorio Society in June 2000. I also had the pleasure of visiting her beautiful home in CT. She was a warm and vibrant woman with a great smile and a loving heart. What a pleasure it was to know her!

LOU, VICTOR, AND FAMILY - Chrisholm Marina is like a second home for me and Joanie, Lou always treated me like I was part of the 'Chrisholm' family. Joanie would inquire about each stage of my life beginning when I was 11 through most recently, now 33, celebrating my triumphs and joining in my dissappointments. I am deeply saddened by her death and extend my sincerest condelences to the family. - Chris Hurst/Chris-Mar/Bruce and Terri's daughter

Lou, Victor, and all,

Joan gave me a big hug, big kiss, and a big smile at the July Harbor Management Commission meeting. But then again, she always did. Voting, boating, downtown, it was always the same. Joan brought happiness into so many lives, thank you for letting her share it with me.

Peace,

Will
