Joan Chapman Melillo

To Fred and family: Im just saw the passing of Joan in the paper today. Although I only met Joan a few times, she was very nice to me. Fred you were my savior on the Merritt parkway early in my teaching career that bitter cold morning when my car just stopped...a life savior! You brought me to Moran and then you went on to Yalesville school. Joan and I go back to 1965 when we worked together at the New Haven Railroad. We shared many great memories along with another work friend Judy Lacava. The three of us would get together with all our children at Judy´s house. We were so young and ready to take on the world. My deepest sympathies to Fred and kids and to Janet. Joan would want you to continue to make lots of memories. My only regret is I didn´t continue to follow Joan. She was a wonderful friend. . Ginny
