Not sure what to say?

When I think back to when my brother, Brad, was dating Joani and the brief time they were married, I think about how much I looked up to her as a little girl. She was so pretty, and nice to me. I wanted to be just like her when I grew up! I was shocked by the sad news and am so sorry for your family's loss.

Bev, if you read this, my mom tried to look you up in the phone book but was unsuccessful. She sends her prayers.

Bev, I was so shocked to hear of Joani's passing. She was my favorite sister-in-law. My thoughts are with you and your family.

Bev, Carol and Doug,

I'm truly shocked. Joan and I were each other's first "serious" relationship (if one can call it that when you're in seventh grade). I have nothing but fond memories of those times and of time spent with your family. Your family became a part of my past because of Joan and I can't think of her without thinking of you. Especially now. I can tell you that a piece of my heart just left me with this news. My memories of Joan, luckily, I get to keep. My thoughts are...

Dear family members of Joani,
You will remember me as the former Karen Werner. I am so saddened to learn of Joani's passing.

I recall junior high birthday sleepover parties with Joani at your Xerxes home in Crystal. And I know that Joani owns a collection of notes passed from me to Joani (that her mother lovingly saved with other childhood memorabilia)--would love to have them back...). She let me borrow them early on in her time in Chandler, and I returned them to...

My thoughts and prayers to Joani's family for your loss. Joani and I were in the same homeroom all through high school. We didn't hang around the same group of people but we were still chums. I'm sure she'll be truely missed by everyone.

Our thoughts and prayers are with Joan and her entire family during this time. She will always be remembered with great fondness and affection (and that wonderful smile!) from all her classmates.

I met Joan through a mutual friend, Diane, back in the early 80's (the disco years). To copy a phrase Mr. Grant said about Mary Richards...Joan had spunk. She was fun to know. There's surely a new brightly shining star in the sky above. With Sympathy,

Joani in Prescott, Arizona

We met Joani years ago through mutual dear friends and she was truly an unique and independent spirit. She went through a lot these last few years, and we wish her God's comfort in her final journey. Rest in peace Joani.
