Joan E. Osborne

I will miss talking an taking care of Joan she was a nice lady

Mrs. Osborne spent many nights with me in the Math Lab(algebra) @ HCC....she never gave up on me. Practice, Practice, Practice, is what she would tell me. We shared many family stories of growing up. Her hand writing was so similar to my own mothers. Thoughts and prayers to her family.

I remember Mrs. Osborne from my 7th grade math class. She was always one of my favorite teachers. Being on the shy side back then, she was very kind and helpful to me. My prayers go out to your family.

I am so sorry for the loss of kind, wonderful Joan. Joan was a very good friend of my sister Rosalee Rockman, both starting to teach in Freeport schools around the same time, and, after Rosalee's passing, continuing her wonderful friendship with my mother and me. Besides being a brilliant math teacher, Joan was an amazing bridge player, and I enjoyed many great bridge games with her when I lived in Freeport. To Joan's family -I was shocked and saddened to hear of Joan's death. Joannie and I were grade school friends in Springfield. Although years and many miles have separated us, we still kept in touch with phone calls and letters. In fact, I was getting ready to write her a birthday letter-(we also shared the same birthday)- when I received this sad news. I will certainly miss her. She was a special friend.
