Dear Auntie Ardelle & Uncle Bill, Karen, Gail, Mike, William, & Evan:
Once upon a lifetime,
Someone comes along,
Who fills your life with laughter,
And gives your heart a song.
Thank you for the memories Joanie!
You were the most stylish Santa Clause I'll ever know!

I missed the first news of Joan's untimely death, and read the small article in the Evanston Review just today. I was incredulous that her death was ruled a likely suicide. They didn't know Joan. I knew Joan only about 6 months. In that time, I observed her to be light and lovely, and yet meticulous in her care of clients, co-workers and self. Joan would also make people laugh -- she had a knack for telling her life stories in such a funny way, she would always have people in stitches! "Joan...

Joan,
you have touched my life in so many ways that I don't know how to express it in just a few words. I will miss you so much and I wish God had allowed us more time to build lifetime memories of our friendship. I'm positive heaven is much more colorful since you arrival.
I will always think of you and carry you in my heart.
Your friend Claudia.

I knew Joan a short 2 years. She had so much ambition and energy. She was dedicated, extremely helpful, and a good role model for new agents. So many will miss her. I will miss her.
