Not sure what to say?

Joan, Keith, and Darryl have always been part of my life. Then in h.s., he fell in love with Sabrina, a wonderful person. I miss the boys, and I certainly miss Joan, too. We traded students back and forth at LHS, and became very close friends. What a wonderful nice woman. I will miss Joan and Keith, and I will pray for your family, and I send my love. God's with you for sure. Love, Terry Taylor

i enjoy every minute that we got to spend together, you wil be truely missed ms. Powell...forever u wil be in my heart.

Even though i only knew you for a few months, it seem like a life time for me...i wil miss u so much ms. Powel, i enjoyed every min of the day we got to spend together...u wil always be in my heart..

This is Ross Williams. I graduated with Keith and Sebrina. All I can say is that reading about Joan's resolve to leave people better than she found them and to enlighten and empower others is a hallmark of a great person !! Her legacy will continue through those she touched. Now I understand more about Keith as a person. To me he was always quiet, like me. I think he was thoughtful and that his mom gave him things to think about. My mom did too and they are some of the same lessons.

GRANDMA POWELL I WILL ALWAYS LOVE YOU. THE LIFE LESSONS YOU TAUGHT WILL RING IN MY HEART FOREVER. I WILL NEVER FORGET YOU AND ALL THE LOVE YOU GAVE.
LOVE YOU ALWAYS.

KEITH JESSE POWELL

I Thank God for Sister Powell's loving kindness! She was a teacher both in the classroom, Sunday School and in life for so many people young and old.She reminded me to "Count It All Joy...even in troubling times from
James 1:2 a favorite scripture of hers and I finally understand why! This woman had a heart for God!
