Aunt Joan was a special person who touched many lives. In the summer of 1997 a high school student of mine got the opportunity to meet Aunt Joan. We stayed with her and Uncle Jimmy for a few days while we explored Washington. Last spring I met this former student, and her family, in Arizona for a day.
