Dr. Joan Elaine Schenck Prideaux

Joan was my son Daniels teacher therapist in nursery school. Working with the family made a world of difference for Daniel. He became a student in s mainstream school and eventually graduated Community College. We are forever grateful to Joan and her program for the help and guidance during those early years.

As a member of the Paris group at Beach brook I am so grateful for the guidance and support Joan gave us. She was a guiding light at a difficult time in our lives. Thank you.Susan Slome

Mrs. Prideaux was like a second other to me. I learned so much about the arts, education, and more. I was close to Debbie, Barbara, and Dougie. She worked with my mother and we often did family outings together. May you rest in peace Joan, you will be remembered as the trailblazer you are.

It is my absolute pleasure to have been associated with the beautiful family Joan gave birth life to. Happiness that they had such a wonderful mother, sadness that Joan is no longer here physically, spiritually she fills the universe.

Fond memories of Miss Joan whom I always admired when I was a young mother. While close neighbors in the Todt Hill projects; I was always in awe of her style of dress & her enthusiasm for life. She was truly a Renaissance woman! She leaves behind a great legacy.
