Not sure what to say?

Dear Julie, I used to be in touch with your Mom from time to time and was trying to reach her lately only to discover a few days ago that her telephone had been disconnected. Throughout the years since we first met in New York and Joan´s trips to visit me in France, I always kept a very fond memory of her. I am so sorry for your loss. I know how much she loved her daughters and grand-daughters and that she will be missed by all who loved her. There is now an empty space in New York, but I am...

Dear Julie, I live directly upstairs from your mother's former apartment, and I befriended her over the last few years. She was a lovely, strong woman and will be missed. I can't believe she's gone, and I am so sorry. Sending my sincere condolences for the loss of her and also of your sister. M. Cousins

Julie, I am so sorry for your loss. Your mom was so proud of you and your children. Most Irish of her generation had trouble expressing love. I know she loved you with all of her heart. Memory: She used to meet me for lunch when I had my first job in New York City. She would tell me about Irish events and Japanese exhibits. She had a wonderful way of telling me how brave of a person that I am. I miss hearing her say that to me.

A truly wonderful lady, so glad to have known her. Always positive and always wearing a smile. So happy that her sister, Mary introduced me and she was an immediate friend.
