Corridan Funeral Home - Chicopee Obituary

Joan M. (Beaudoin) Rheaume, 86, of Chicopee passed away at home on September 8, 2018. She was born to the late Joseph O. and Mary “Mae” (Coakley) Beaudoin on May 13, 1932.  A lifelong resident of Chicopee, she attended Holy Name grammar and high schools.  Joan was the loving wife of Raymond F. Rheaume, who passed away in 2014 after 61years of marriage.  Joan loved a good laugh, going to shows at The Majestic Theater, and all types of music, especially “peppy” tunes.  Dining out was her favorite activity.  Joan devoted her life to her family and loved each moment spent with her children, their spouses and her five grandchildren. She leaves her son, Jeffrey Rheaume of Chicopee, and daughters, Judith Rheaume of South Hadley, Mary Garvey (Alan) of Suffield, CT and Christine Isom (Gary) of Agawam.  She also leaves her dear grandchildren, Ryan Garvey and his wife Kimberly Phillips, Emily Garvey, Hannah Garvey, Chelsea Isom and Olivia Isom. The funeral services and burial will be held privately for Joan’s family. The Corridan Funeral Home, 333 Springfield St., Chicopee is in charge of the arrangements.  Memorial donations may be made in Joan’s name to The Joslin Diabetes Center, One Joslin Place, Suite 745, Boston, MA 02215 or to The American Heart Association by calling 1-800-AHA-USA1.  For online condolences, please visit www.corridanfuneral.com.
