Love and Missing you Mrs. Scala - You were definitely a powerful women of your time xoxo Laura Ray

Aunt Joan,

I'll miss you terribly. I'll never forget your laugh, your love of life, or your dancing. Most notable of my memories will be your trip to see us in Plainfield, IL, all those years ago. You will always hold a special place in my heart.

With great love and sadness your nephew,

Grief can be so hard, but our special memories help us cope. Remembering you and your loved one today and always.

Mrs. Scala was like a second Mom to me. She helped me tremendously by giving me a place to stay when I needed it. I love you Mrs. Scala and my prayers go to you and your family.

Joan Scala served the Township of Irvington with honor and distinction for decades. She was a long time employee of Irvington General Hospital, served as a Commissioner of the Irvington Housing Authority and was the West Ward Council Member from April 26, 1988 to June 30, 1996. On behalf of her family here at Town Hall, our sincerest condolences go out to her real family members. She will be sorely missed.
