Not sure what to say?

Joan, I miss you everyday. You were the first person at Greer Middle to make me feel welcome at school that I didn’t know existed. I took over your caseload when you became sick and now I have walked in your shoes of reading specialist. You will always be the greatest. I love you and miss you. Nena

I only knew your mother for a few months. She was a very sweet lady. We were both members of The Young at Heart group that met once a month at Taylors Baptist Church. We will miss her at our meetings. I am so sorry for your loss. Darlene Key

Boys and Chrissy,
I am so sorry . Joan is a loss to every young child that she met and everyone that she worked with. She was a friend to everyone she came in touch with. My family will miss her dearly. You are in our prayers.

I enjoyed knowing Joan as a fellow Reading Specialist. She had such a gentle spirit and was always willing to share ideas and materials. Her heart for children was inspiring.

Our thoughts are with you at this most difficult time. Your mom was a great lady and she always brightened the office when she was in. She will be greatly missed by all of us.
