I cannot tell you how many times I have thought of Joan Sherrill. She was the best teacher I ever knew.i am so sorry it took me this long to look her up. I would love to hear from one of her family members.

Aunt Joan your beautiful garden humor love and unending kindness and example of a strong independent Black woman will never be forgotten. My belated condolences to you both Rodney and Wendy. Wow. It is with a very heavy heart that I write this. Mrs. Sherrill was not just a co-worker she was my 2nd mother, it was not one time that we did not spend hours on the phone just talking about life and enjoying it to the fullest. She always checked in on me even when I moved out of the state of Maryland and returned. I would stop by her house and we would just joke and laugh all day long and look at her wonderful flowers in the backyard. She will be truly missed. I send my condolences to...
