Joan Mary Stebe

I was in Mrs. Stebe's class at Venice High School in 1999. It was a turbulent time in my life and she blessed my life with her high standards that she paired with graciousness. I still remember the Stebe speech and I still have a physical copy of the Credo she wrote. She was truly a shining light and I am so fortunate that she and I crossed paths.

Wow. I had Mrs Stebe in high school and then TA´ed for her. This woman is why I loved school and continue to love learning, but more importantly, how I learned to evaluate my choices. The Stebe speech is something I pass on to each member of the teams I manage. Mrs Stebe, the impact you had on my life continues and I am so grateful to have had you not just as a teacher, but as a butt-kicker when I didn´t take school seriously enough and as a friend when life at home got hard. I had Ms. Stebe for a teacher in 8th grade and again in 12th grade. She was more then a teacher she was a mentor. Was able to go to her about anything without judgment. Will always remember that bun in her hair. Will miss her.
