Not sure what to say?

Nancy and I miss her but it is like she is still with us. Our memories of her will always be with us. Like the time I saw her on her roof painting her house. She was in her 80’s and I asked why she was painting her house. Her reply, because it needed it. She is amazing!

We do miss Mrs. Stuckey everyday. We keep finding things like her house key with a typed, of course, note how Nancy and Cory helped her in 2010.

Joan and I were best friends forever after I installed their phones working for SWBT. She and Norm were precious people and I loved to visit with them both. Always a positive experience. I miss her dearly but know we will meet again.

Joan didn't want a funeral, but she did want to share this anonymous poem with loved ones:

Do not stand at my grave and weep. I am not there. I do not sleep.

I am a thousand winds that blow. I am the diamond glints on snow. I am the sunlight on ripened grain. I am the gentle autumn's rain.

When you awaken in the morning's hush. I am the swift uplifting rush of quiet birds in circled flight.

I am the soft stars that shine at night. Do not stand at my grave and cry....

Cousins Mary, Joan, Billie, and Rose in 2002.

Joan was the last of the seven, close-knit Cantrell cousins. Her passing marks the end of an era. My mom, Mary Harris Prothro, was another of the cousins and loved recalling the fun times she and her sister Billie had as kids with Joan and Phil at the Scott ranch. Condolences to Scott and all the family.

We are saddened to hear of Mrs. Stuckey's passing. She was a lovely person who brightened the lives of everyone that she met.

We miss you, Maw Maw. You were the finest wife, mother, grandmother and mother-in-law. God bless you and rest in peace.
