Joan was a beautiful person inside and out. She could light up a room with her smile. If you met her you liked her instantly and you'd never forget her. I am so glad I had the privilege of knowing her.
My thoughts and prayers are with all of the family at this time.

I want to extend my sympathies to the Tompkins family. Joan was one of those rare people who made you a better person just by having known her, however briefly. Her smile and laugh brightened everyone's day. Even Heaven will be a better place with her there.
