Joan was a wonderful friend. I will miss our telephone conversations and the fun talks we shared. Joan and I would always exchange cards on St. Patrick's Day and talk on the phone and the conversations would start with "Top of the morning to you" and my reply would be and the "Rest of the day to yourself". Joan was an amazing person and always thought of others instead of herself. I am so thankful that I could call Joan my friend. She will be deeply missed.

Joan was the kindness, selfless, loving person and a great friend I've every known. I admired her strengthen she had with all the challenges that had been thrown to her. When I met Joan at DFAS she took me under her wing like I was her child. We've been out of touch but never forgot each other. Joan you are and will be missed. Love you Joan
