It had been sometime since I talked with my dear friend Joan, not aware that she was suffering in anyway makes me sad, we have had health issues for sometime yet I tried to find out where Joan was, finally our daughter called someone to find out for me, sad to hear as we had not kept in touch. Cliff and I in younger years spent alot of time with Joan and Corny. loved them, enjoyed our time together. Will see them again.

Just learned of Joan's passing. She was such a sweet kind woman and so beautiful. She and Corny were good friends of my parents, Cliff and Cherol Abbott. She has certainly earned her special place in Heaven with Corny, their children and other loved ones.

I am so sorry to hear of Joan´s passing. I wish I would have known to attend her services. Please know how much I cherished her and all the kindness she always showed me. May peace somehow find its way to you during this time. Love Denise Van Ry

I am so grateful that I was able to attend this funeral per audio as it was so beautiful. Sister Van Ry was the second mom to me when I was growing up. Carolyn, Traci and I were inseparable. We played dolls and school and dress up every day. I always felt loved in the Van Ry home! They invited me to every birthday dinner. I have lived away in Texas for 29 years, yet when I came into town, Brother and sister Van Ry attended my children´s weddings. I would visit Sister Van Ry out in the front...

I have so many pleasant memories of spending time with the Van Ry family for so many years. I loved all the summers you would join us at the summer cabin. I loved spending time with your Mom She and I would share recipes and sewing tricks. she was a beautiful woman and I always love her for a friend. I know she is so happy to be with your father now and the sweet babies she did not get a chance to raise. You are a wonderful family. I am sad for all of you that she is gone but you can look...

We are so sorry to hear of the loss of such a sweet lady. She has been a great neighbor and friend. We are so sorry that we will not be able to attend the funeral. We are on the east coast. Our thoughts and prayers are with the whole family. Tonia & Nate McCall

My condolences to the family. My respect for both Corny and Joan as charitable serving neighbors who lived their religion daily is immense. I join many many others at this time in wishing the family fond memories of a life well lived by both loving parents who are now together again.
