Joan A. Verderame

I never met but Joan, but I have only heard wonderful things about her as well as the ST program she ran at BCC. I know she will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. Please accept my condolences.

I just learned of Joan's passing and was deeply saddened. I wish to share my deepest sympathies with all those who loved her. I will keep you all in my thoughts and prayers. An elegant lady who had a passion for teaching, she will be missed greatly at BCC.

I am so very sorry for your loss for which I am sure there are no adequate words to describe. I had the priviledge to have your Mother as both a friend and collegue during my tenure at BCC with the ST department. Since the initiation of my employment , your Mother had been a constant source of support and SINCERE compassion. I just learned yesterday of the passing of my colleague Joan. I served as Director of the Nursing Program at BCC for 9 years and had the pleasure of knowing and working with Joan during those years. We shared so much in common including both being nursing graduates of the old Diploma School error, of Hungarian background, but most importantly we shared a profound interest in our students and their learning. She was a tireless worker for BCC and the Surgical Technology Program.
