Not sure what to say?

I keep a photo of Joan up on my bookcase along with pics of my family. Joan's spirit is with me yet--I feel her loving kindness. I will always be her true friend as she is mine.

My family remembers your Mom with great fondness. We lived next door to your family on 58th. Your mother was always willing to help our family and bring over fun treats.
Please except our wonderful thoughts of your Mom.

Grandma Joan,

We are truly missing you. I am so thankful to have been a part of your life. You Have been there for us from the very first time you embraced us with your hug. Thank you for being so unconditional, accepting, generous, and just all together loving. The memories we made together I will forever cherish and share with my children. You will neve be forgotten, but forever loved. Thank you, thank you, thank you, and until we meet again.

Dear Joan, I will miss you and think of you for the rest of my life. You have been a stalwart friend to Barbara and me. Thank you for being such a friend. Love, Kathryn Ehlers

The time we spent working together at Franklin HS, and more importantly, the time we spent as friends outside of work, usually in your garden with plenty of snacks and libations, always brings a smile. You will be missed by all who have known you over the years for your common sense and good cheer. Condolences to your family.

Ill miss you grandma more then you'll ever know. She wasn't just an amazing grandma she was an amazing friend. Thank you for everything! You will live in our hearts forever. Love you!

The Scottish poet Thomas Campbell wrote "To live in hearts we leave behind is not to die". You will always be in our hearts Mom. We miss you. Tell dad and Bill that we said hello!

I loved and will keep loving my grandma greatly - she was an unbelievable woman, mother, grandmother, friend and teacher to so many in her life. There is joy that she is reunited with her husband and my uncle Bill but she will be missed and loved continually in this world. Until we meet again grandma... rest easy. I love you.

Joan was a terrific friend in the truest sense of the word. Her circle of friends was very wide with reason. Her mission in life seemed to be to care about others and do anything she could to help and/or comfort them no matter what was going on in her own life.
She'll be sadly missed but never forgotten.
