Not sure what to say?

As I looked at the obituraries, I was shocked to hear of Joan's death. I am in Aarizona now and heard from Joan every year and wondered why I hadn't heard from her this year. As a classmate of hers at both St. Columba's school and Wilson High School, I am sadened to hear of her death. She will be missed by everyone who knew her and especially me.

I am saddened to learn of Joan's death, and extend sincere condolences to her family and to everyone who knew and loved her. When I was on the journalism faculty at St. Thomas, we shared a row of offices with the Foreign Languages Department, whose secretary was Joan. She and our department's secretary held down the fortress in the big office that was the entrance to the faculty offices.

I am so sorry for your loss. It was so great to have been included in the Comiskey Reunions and reconect and talk about the good times at Forest Lake. My love and prayers, Marlene

Your mother added so much to my daughter's life. Their relationship was one of pure joy. Claire loved seeing Joan on Sundays and, when she got old enough, the occasional girls' afternoon they spent together to “lunch and talk”. Joan was a constant in Claire's life since she was an infant; she never new a world without “her Joan”. Over the years Joan gave Claire many gifts but the most wonderful one was simply herself. Joan also gave me a huge gift by choosing to share herself with my child....

Barb, Mary, and Beth, My heart goes out to you, may all of your memories you hold close to your heart help you through this sad time. Hugs to you,
Pam Altringer

All my best,
Scott Fleming
