Dear Rich and Komen Family,

I will offer a Mass in gratitude for Joannie's life. She was a wonderful and grace-filled woman who lived life fully. I am grateful that I had a brief chance to know her. May the God of comfort be with you. Peace, Tony Harris, SJ

Please accept my heartfelt condolances over the loss of Joan. I remember hanging out with the boys (my second cousins)several times when we were very young. I send my love, you'll all be in my prayers and God bless each and every one of you. I always enjoyed Joan and her bright sense of humor.

Love, Lezlie Vey Eger Costelli (Sandy's oldest daughter, Anice's first grandchild).

Rich,
I know I can't fully realize your loss. You have my deepest sympathy and condolences. Joan was, as you were,
always a good friend to me and I have thought about both of you many times in the last few years.

I sorely miss the "old times" and even more so now with Joan's passing.

Rich and Greg-

I heard of your loss from a friend that just spent a wonderful 3 days at Roche Harbor, and was aware I knew your family. I am so sorry for your loss. I remember when the Cinnabon Presidents trip was on Maui (back in 1993?) when you & Joan graciously opened your home there to us for an evening - a wonderful gesture that I am sure exemplified a great life of love and giving.

My best wishes to you both.

Rich and family,
We are so sorry for your loss. Joan was always such a genuine lady. We didn't know you her well, but the love for life and those around her was very obvious. Love lives on and that will carry you through.

Rich and family, I had so much respect and admiration for Joan. She was so thoughtful, caring, and generous to me , all these years that I have known her. She was such an awesome homemaker, great in her garden, gifted at making her home beautiful, taking time to teach her granddaughers how to bake homemade pies.. she had her priorities right.... I know that she was a competitive golfer and loved her time with her golfing buddies. I will miss her so much, such a beautiful, gracious woman.. the...

To Richard and family,

I'm so saddened to hear of Joan's death. Joan was always pleasant and nice. My thoughts are with you and your family. If I was well I would come to the celebration of her life in Seattle.

To Rich and Family,
Though I just got to know Joan when she came in to the medical center these last few weeks, I am saddened that she lost her courageous battle with cancer. At the clinic, she was always so pleasant and gracious even when I knew she didn't feel very well. What an inspiration she was ! Bless you as you endure this sad time. May your memories keep you strong.
