Joann passed away on Friday, April 26, 2019. Joann was a resident of North Carolina at the time of passing. The family will receive friends at Rich & Thompson Funeral and Cremation Service in Burlington on Sunday, April 28, 2019 from 3:00 until 5:00 p.m. Other times they will be at the residence of the daughter, 4373 Swepsonville-Saxapahaw Road, Graham, NC. The funeral service will be conducted at the Rich & Thompson Chapel in Burlington on Monday, April 29, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. Burial will follow in Pine Hill Cemetery. Celebration of Life at the Rich and Thompson Chapel at 1:00 PM on April 29, 2019. Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association, Memorial Processing Center, P.O. Box 5216, Glen Allen, VA 23058-5216.
My husband and I have a church service at the nursing home every Tuesday. Mrs. Margie (which is what she asked us to call her) was such a sweet, sweet lady. It was always such a blessing to see her big smile. I'm so sorry to hear of her passing but I know where she is. I pray for each family member that God will hold you in His everlasting arms and bless each of you as you deal with your loss.

I remember joann when I was growing up she was my moms friend she was the sweetist person always smiling very kind.

Joann was a very sweet, good person. They come no better. I met Joann through her sister Nellie, and thought a lot of both of them. There is one less loving, warm person in the world with her death. My condolences to her family.
