Read MoreI was fortunate to get to know Joann as a classmate at John´s Hopkins. With a wonderful sense of humor and smile, Joann was always a ray of sunshine to all she touched. We all knew, as a kind and empathetic medical student she would become the gifted physician she was to be. I´m sure her patients, loved ones and friends will all miss her as former classmates do. May she rest in peace.

What a woman! She was a mentor to the women who knew her - as a professional and as a lady. She lived life to its fullest and loved with all her heart. Our sympathy to Jim and both families. I will miss her joie de vivre as she brought such insight , joy and laughter to any situation. Rest in peace dear friend.
