Not sure what to say?

Just found out....She was a great lady...The last time I seen her was when I had a meeting in Berea and met her at the kennel where her dogs were...I took her out to dinner for her birthday before my meeting..

A very near and dear friend has passed. Joann has been a friend of ours many years. We bred Siberian Husky's and we talked many hours about her sled dog racing. We shared rental property for our horses and her husky's. When she had the vision of Berea Animal Rescue, she invited us to be part of it. I remember one day a couple of weeks before Christmas. Joann called us with a problem she had encountered as the Berea Animal Warden....

It is so difficult when we lose those we love. Please accept my deepest condolences. May your memories warm your heart and bring a smile to your face in time. My hope is that God will give you the strength and power you need as you cope with the loss of someone you love so dearly. Isaiah 40:29

Many fond memories of Joann in our local dog clubs. She has been a devoted & active member for so many years and at numerous events. Joann seemed to be involved with everything dog-related; she was a familiar face to all in our area. Always sweet & young at heart. She will be greatly missed.

I was so surprised and sad to hear of Joann's passing. What a vibrant, energetic, thoughtful person, she was always ready with a kind word or gentle hug. I taught for many summers at the outdoor pool with her, it was a pleasure to work with her. Her patience and reassurance encouraged many reluctant children to become confident swimmers. During the school years when my children attended Grindstone her cheerful wave and lovely smile, even on the coldest mornings, was a wonderful way to start...

Joann started attending our TBI group because of her grandson, but it soon became evident that she was a grandmother to all of us. Her deep concern for everyone that passed through our doors was evidence to the kind of person she was. She also helped me in my own marriage with wise advice and her and Tony's example of love and commitment. Deepest sympathy to a beautiful family.

Joann you will be deeply missed, both my kids grew up with you being there crossing guard at parknoll and then at grindstone. They looked forward to seeing you every morning and afternoon. You were the best with the kids. We will miss your smiling face.

Joann gave me good advice when I started my career as an Animal Control Officer. RIP Joann.
