Not sure what to say?

So sorry to hear of your mother's death. We were next-door neighbors to your parents in Wichita on Ceymarie Circle from '85 -'95 and I've kept in contact through the years with Christmas cards. We always enjoyed having them as neighbors. Just wanted to let you know you're in our thoughts and prayers.

Joann was a unique flavor, indeed! Similar to her bold and captivating artwork, Joann's personality seemed to be made up of swirls and splashes of enthusiasm, love, loyalty, compassion, wisdom, warmth, charm, and sensitivity all accented by a hearty laugh from her inner depths. She was a good friend. I'll miss her as I still miss her firstborn Nancy.

Karen,
I am so sorry to hear about your mom. I know this is a rough time for you. Your mom was truly a blessing. I can remember so well riding around in the baby blue convertible with her and her honking and waving at boys for us. Those were the days! I continue to display her art on my wall that she gave me for my wedding present. It is even more special now. Please know that I am thinking and praying for you and your family. With love, Galin

I liked your Mom so much, she was a special lady to many. Sorry I am in California & not able to be with you.

Joann was a talented artist. We were privileged to exhibit her work in Governor Graves Regional Office in the late 90's.
Our deepest sympathy in your loss,

David, I want to express my sympathy
to you and your family. I do look at the Wichita Eagle every morning and was so surprised to read of your Mother. The Ray family have been very good friends and business associates of mine since the early. 1950's, and it has been a very appreciated relationship. Morris Stauffer

Joann was such a delightful addition to our apartment building. She always had a smile for us. We will miss her.
