This is somewhat delayed, but I send my condolences to her family. I knew her and her mom Freda. My son Lars and I visited Freda often in Bridgewater in the 90s. I was blessed to know Freda and Joann who gave me and my son each a beautiful painted French breadboard.

I know Joanne solely through her work. We shared a mutual love of the Shenandoah Valley. She was such a talented artist & I loved seeing her work for many years at Richmond Arts in the Park. Wish I had more of it.
