Joann was an awesome grandmother. She hardly got to know her two grandchildren: Anthony and Elizabeth after William Harris passing, but when she did spend time with them, she glowed.

We had the pleasure of meeting Joann about 6 years ago when we purchased our beloved dachshund, Ginger, from her. Her dog, Goldie, is Ginger's mother. We could tell right away that she shared our adoration of dachshunds. She was so happy telling stories about them and showing us pictures. We will always be grateful to her for providing this wonderful addition to our family.

Joann was such a kind lovely lady.
She will be missed by all.

I first met Joann in August 2007 at Aussie Animal Hospital when she brought Goldie in for back surgery. Since I had experience in rehabilitating dachshunds after surgery, I offered to take Goldie to my home to get her literally back on her feet. This was the beginning of a great friendship we shared. We both loved doing the "girly" things like shopping and enjoying lunches and dinners from Coral Gables to Key Largo. I especially enjoyed our times together Sunday afternoons in the hot tub at...

I always enjoyed having lunch with Joann and my wife, Marsha, at the Redland Tavern and dinner at the Capri Restaurant. Her eyes sparkled and she had a beautiful smile as we discussed the issues of the day, and of course, our dogs. She was a great, classy woman and will be missed by all who were fortunate enough to know her.
