Apr. 8, 1949 - Nov. 25, 2015 Joann Kirk Whigham born April 8, 1949 quietly departed this life on Wednesday, November 25, 2015 at 1:09pm surrounded by her loving family and friends. She was the daughter of the late Lorenzo and Kattie E. Kirk and she was preceded in death by her sister, June Wright and son, Andre' S. Whigham. She leaves to cherish her memories, a loving and devoted husband of 38 years, Bennie J. Whigham; one son, Corey Whigham of Rancho Cucamonga , CA; one daughter, Brittany Whigham of Mobile, AL; a future son-in-law, Jamaal L. Moore of Mobile, AL; two granddaughters, Ava and Aubrey; one brother, Kennedy Kirk of Prichard, AL; a host of other relatives and friends. Her remains will lie in state on Wednesday, December 2, 2015 from 1pm until 8pm at Small's Mortuary, Mobile, AL. Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 3, 2015 from 10am until the 12 noon funeral hour at Ebenezer AME Zion Church, 268 St. Charles Ave. Mobile, AL.
