Joann Whitaker

Joann (Thomas) Whitaker was born on October 21, 1939 in Little Rock, Arkansas; a daughter to Oscar and Bessie (Deal) Thomas. Joann passed away in Morrilton, Arkansas on October 16, 2021 at the age of 82.

Joann was a resident of Little Rock and was of the Baptist faith. She worked for many years and retired from Kroger. She was a member of the VFW and enjoyed helping with events supporting the organization. Joann never missed the chance to watch a good soap opera, her favorite being Days of Our Lives and The Young and the Restless. She had a love for animals and always held a special place in her heart for her dogs. Joann will be missed greatly by her family and friends.

Joann is preceded in death by her husband: Thomas Whitaker; sister: Pat Morton; and infant brother Thomas.

Johann is survived by her son: Jerry Wyllia and wife Shelia of Morrilton, Arkansas; nephew: Norman Hill and family of Oklahoma.
